Know Your Responsibilities

As a property owner/renter/business owner, you are responsible to keep sidewalks and fire hydrants clear and clean from snow and ice. Snow and ice must be removed from the sidewalks and fire hydrants within six (6) hours after every snowfall, which ends in the daytime and before 12:00PM (Noon) of the day after any snowfall, which occurs during the night. It is also a violation to shovel, blow and plow snow into a city street. It is illegal to place cones, cans or other objects in the roadway to save parking spaces.
