What is the #YonkersIceBucketChallenge?
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is back this August and every August until a cure.
To support ALS research locally, Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, Empire City Casino and Yonkers native Pat Quinn, one of the originators of the Ice Bucket Challenge, will host the #YonkersIceBucketChallenge on
Saturday, August 4th at 1 pm at Empire City Casino.
Hundreds of local residents will join us on the track for a simultaneous Ice Bucket Challenge to help
reignite the movement and benefit ALS research.
How Can I Participate?
Joining the #YonkersIceBucketChallenge is easy. Register and show up on the track at
Empire City Casino on August 4th at 1 pm.
Where Can I Sign Up?
"Walk-Up" Registration available on Saturday, August 4th before 1pm.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available at Empire City Casino. Enter the facility off of Yonkers Avenue and follow the signs.
What do I bring with me?
Bring yourself, your family, friends and a towel. We've got the buckets, ice and water covered.
Is the event family-friendly?
Absolutely! Pat's foundation, Quinn 4 the Win, will provide family-friendly activities. Empire City Casino will have food and beverage available for sale.
Are Donations Required?
