Yonkers Utilities Tax
There is a Yonkers Utilities Tax on every utility company doing business in the City of Yonkers. This tax is 3% of gross income and gross operating income derived from sources within the City of Yonkers as outlined in Chapter 15 Article II of the Local Law.
The tax is due and payable to the City of Yonkers, within twenty five (25) days after the close of the quarter. A return must be completed, notarized, and mailed along with the remittance of the tax collections for the period.

Voluntary Disclosure and Compliance (VDC) Program
The City of Yonkers is starting a Voluntary Disclosure and Compliance (VDC) program where penalties can be waived for back and under-reported Yonkers Utilities tax. To qualify under the VDC program, a candidate must voluntarily disclose non-reporting and under-reporting of taxes for previous periods. VDC does not apply to current and future periods and to taxpayers already under audit or who were notified of an audit by the City of Yonkers. It also does not apply to taxpayers who received bills for the Yonkers Utilities tax. All filings under the VDC program must be marked VDC and mailed along with the payment to:
