Yonkers, NY- September 26, 2018 -- In order to better serve the hardworking families of Yonkers community City Council President Mike Khader and City Clerk Vincent Spano announced that beginning October 2nd, the clerk’s office will be enacting extended hours, remaining open until 7 P.M. every Tuesday.
At no additional cost to taxpayers, keeping the clerk’s office open later will allow for working residents the ability to request and retrieve important documents such as marriage and birth certificates and various permits.
“I understand how difficult it can be for hardworking families to have to leave work early to make it to City Hall within business hours,” said City Council President Khader. “By extending hours one day a week we hope that this will ease the burden for Yonkers residents, and allow for a seamless request and retrieval of documents and information.”
“My office realizes that staying open beyond traditional business hours will provide accessibility that Yonkers residents deserve,” said City Clerk Vincent Spano. “We are here to serve the people of this great city, and hope that this change will allow for residents to utilize the services provided by my office.”
