AS PROMISED DURING CAMPAIGN, KHADER WILL HOST THE FIRST OF A SERIES OF TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Bringing the City Council President’s Office to the People of Yonkers
Yonkers, NY-February 8, 2018-Yonkers City Council President Mike Khader announced his first of a series of town hall meetings that will take place on Monday, February 26 at 7 P.M. at the A.A. Rauso post #40 located at 178 Waverly Street.
Khader plans to host multiple town halls throughout the year as part of his campaign promise to his constituents. The goal of the meetings is for Yonkers residents to voice concerns about issues they are dealing with whether it be sanitation, crime, or education, among many others. Khader believes these meetings are a key first step in creating an open, honest, and productive conversation.
“As I promised during my campaign, I will do everything in my power to effectively promote transparency and open dialogue,” said Council President Khader. “The first step will be these town hall meetings where people can come out and talk to me face to face about important issues. I look forward to building a strong and lasting relationship with the people of this great city.”
Representatives from the Yonkers Police Department and Department of Public Works will also be on hand to answer questions.
All are welcome to attend the meetings and are being asked to RSVP to Yeiddy.ferreira@YonkersNY.gov.
