The mission of the Yonkers Police Department Street Crime Unit is to assist and coordinate with other Departmental Units, and Law Enforcement Agencies, with a geographic based enforcement involving investigations of any crimes against persons and property. A continuous focus is directed towards violent crime, including street level narcotics, firearms, and gang activity.  The goal of the Street Crime Unit is to reduce crime and to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Yonkers.
