YONKERS MAYOR SPANO & RIVERFRONT LIBRARY CELEBRATE EARTH DAY WITH FREE SCREENING OF “THE ANTHROPOLOGIST” AND Q&A SESSION WITH FILM DIRECTOR JEREMY NEWBERGER

Riverfront Library to Screen Movie Monday, April 17 at 5:45PM

YONKERS, NY – April 11, 2017 – Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano today announced the City of Yonkers is partnering with the Riverfront Library to provide a free screening of the film THE ANTHROPOLOGIST with a special guest appearance from one of the film’s directors, Jeremy Newberger who will be available for a question and answer segment after the film.

The film will be screened Monday, April 17th at 5:45PM at the Riverfront Library, 1 Larkin Center. The complimentary admission is in celebration of Earth Week as the movie considers the fate of the planet from the perspective of an American teenager. Over five years, she travels alongside her mother, an anthropologist studying the impact of climate change on indigenous communities.

“For Earth Week, we are proud to partner with the Riverfront Library, which continues to demonstrate our community engagement. ‘The Anthropologist’ is a telling story of how we can better our earth and its future, even on a local scale here in Yonkers.” said Mayor Spano. “We welcome Jeremy Newberger to Yonkers and thank him for his commitment to the community, but more importantly to our planet.”
